On day one of counties, held in Maidenhead, Chalfont Otters collected:
- 13 Golds
- 11 Silver
- 2 Bronze
- 15 rosettes (4-8 place)
Over 20 Chalfont Otters swimmers competed in Maidenhead on Saturday and half of them won either medals or rosettes.
James McClenn (4), Olivia Lee, Max Tulloch (3) and Sadie Lucas (2) all won Gold medals. Sam Clark won 3 Silvers and a Bronze, Hugo Lane and Charley Huggett both won a silver. Sadie also won three Silvers, James one silver and Olivia a bronze.
In the Junior Championships Finals held for all 50m and 100m events, James won 3 Cups whilst Sam won 2 silvers and a bronze.
On Sunday Chalfont Otters added to Saturday's impressive medal haul.
In the morning there were 10 medals; 5 golds, 3 silver and 2 bronze. One of the highlights was a first gold medal for Hugo Lane at Counties.
In the morning Junior Championship finals James McClenn took two more cups and Sam Clark another 2nd and a 3rd. So 14 medals in the morning. Jack Eden and Zebina George also reached Championship Finals.
It was slightly quieter in the afternoon in terms of medals; three more golds, a silver and two bronze plus James secured his 6th Junior Championship Cup in the 100m backstroke Final. Seven medals so a total of twenty-one in the day and nineteen rosettes.
However it wasn't quiet by the pool as we had fifteen girls in the 50m free, with first time appearances on Sunday from Zoe Holligan, Maddie Rae, Ella Reid, Edina George and Alexa Macallister. Also during the afternoon in one heat of the boys 100 back we had four Otters in the same heat, some of our 9/10 year old stars of the present and the future, Harry Gibb, Matthew Aldred, Luke McGarvie and Freddie Lucas.

Total 48 medals and 44 rosettes.
Gold medals have so far been won by James McClenn with thirteen gold medals comprising seven age group gold plus six Junior Finals gold (swum at the end of the sessions); Sadie Lucas has five gold medals; Max Tulloch has three golds, Olivia Lee two golds and Hugo Lane one gold.
Special mention also to Sam Clark in James' category, seven silvers and three bronze, including a silver in the 400 IM with a 9 second personal best.
We had another new medallist on Sunday when Daniella Hoyland won bronze in the 200m back.
Holly Henderson, Maya Semyonova-Hoyland, Zebina George, Zoe Holligan, Max McGarvie, Ross McGarvie, Jack Eden and Matthew Aldred are our rosette winners.
In the overall rankings, Sadie Lucas is 2nd in the girls overall standings with Olivia Lee 11th. In the boys section, James McClenn is 4th, Sam Clark 11th.
